# Prerequisites

This Quick Start guide will give you all the tools you need to get up and running building Custom Apps on Domo.

To build apps on top of Domo, you'll need a Domo Instance and Developer Access to that Instance. *If you already have a Domo instance be sure you have logged in.*

#### Development Experience

* Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. If you don't have web development experience, here are some great resources to help you learn: [Mozilla Developer Network](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/) and [Google Web Fundamentals](https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/?hl=en)
* Experience using development libraries and tools such as Node.js, NPM, command line interfaces, and Git
* Basic to intermediate knowledge of how to query for data

#### Domo Experience

* A <a href="https://www.domo.com/start/developer">Domo account</a> (you can’t
  publish your app without one)
